Pat Alacqua
Co-Founder, Chairman

Pat was one of the driving forces behind the Suwanee Sports Academy and spearheaded the creation of a long-term business model that includes On Court Player Development®. He has a passion for creating positive change within the youth sports landscape, supporting the development of athletes and management teams, and building successful entrepreneurial businesses.

Pat has spent 10 years working with athletes to improve their fundamental basketball skills, serving five years as the assistant coach for one of the most successful high school basketball programs in Georgia. His hands on experiences in building successful businesses and knowledge of coaching and player development provide much needed leadership in the youth sports arena.

Prior to launching On Court, Pat was the co-founding entrepreneur of a global tradeshow and event management company that was recognized as the leading service company in its market segment. His innovative approach to servicing customers, operational planning and workforce training are still being utilized today by companies in the tradeshow and event industry. He guided the company for more than 20 years through all phases of the business lifecycle (startup, growth, maturity, decline, reposition, growth and exit) and sold the company to venture capitalists in 2001. Pat was inducted into the EACA (Exhibitor Appointed Contractor Association) Hall of Fame in 2006.


Ross Alacqua        
Online Training Coordinator

Ross has been involved in the game of basketball his entire life, starting at age 5. As a member of the Mercer University basketball team, he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Sports Management. While on the court, he finished his last two seasons with the highest free throw percentage on the team (over 90 percent) and was second all-time in career 3pt field goals made.

Following graduation, he completed an internship in the video department of the Indiana Pacers during the 2007-2008 NBA season, where he was responsible for capturing and editing game film for the coaching staff.

Ross was one of the first players to go through the On Court Player Development® program, seeing first-hand how it can improve a player's skills -- on and off the court.


Kevin Cantwell        
Co-Founder, Director of Player Development

After 27 years as a college basketball coach and recruiter, Kevin has brought his immense knowledge of the sport to the On Court Player Development® program. During his basketball career, he spent 16 years as associate head coach at Georgia Tech under legendary coach Bobby Cremins. While at Georgia Tech, Kevin recruited and coached 22 NBA players and helped guide the Yellow Jackets to the Final Four in 1991

Kevin's passion and knowledge for teaching the game will continue to put the On Court Player Development® on the map for basketball training. In 2004, through Kevin's vast coaching experience, passion for teaching the game the right way and leadership ability is at the heart of the On Court program.

He began his coaching career at Appalachian State University as an assistant coach and also served as their head coach for five seasons. Kevin earned a bachelor's degree in social science from UNC-Asheville and a master's degree in physical education from Appalachian State.


Mike Eddy        
CEO

Mike joined the youth sports landscape in 2004 as Director of Business Development for the Suwanee Sports Academy. Because of Mike's talent and leadership abilities he quickly ascended to President & COO where he took over all day-to-day operations of the business. Over the past few years, he has played a key role in leading change and managing numerous business initiatives, including the development of the On Court Player Development® program.

During his tenure at the helm of Suwanee Sports Academy and On Court Player Development®, he has led the successful development and launch of numerous new service offerings. He created a sales and marketing organization and led the strategic repositioning and re-branding efforts. Mike has also played a key role in the implementation and development of company management systems, including operational planning and organization, financial reporting, and management feedback. He has also pointed the management of many key strategic partnership and vendor relations.
Mike has also served as a financial analyst with Asset Management Advisors, an affiliate of SunTrust Bank, and his team managed almost $500 million in assets.

From coaching youngsters to his tireless dedication implementing a vision for a better youth basketball environment across the country, Mike's passion for the sport of basketball is clear. He also played college basketball at the University of the South, better known as Sewanee. While there, he earned numerous academic and athletic awards before graduating Summa Cum Laude and earning a Bachelors degree with honors in economics. Mike also earned an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business, where he was a Fuqua Scholar graduating in the top 10% of his class.


Kirk Jones
Director of Programming & Marketing

With more than three years working in various business development and operations roles with the Suwanee Sports Academy, Kirk has successfully led strategic direction for all SSA marketing initiatives and program development.

Along with directing the Academy's grassroots basketball programs, he also is an instructor in the On Court Player Development program and has worked basketball camps and clinics with the Atlanta Hawks, Georgia Tech, Ohio Northern, Defiance College and Ayersville High School.

Kirk also has coached high school basketball at Ayersville High School and worked as a sports journalist in Defiance, Ohio.

He has a bachelor's degree in marketing and management from Defiance College.


Michael J. Pallerino
Global Content Manager

Michael will handle all content across the On Court brand, helping to support the brand's training and education strategies. As an editor in the sports product industry, his monthly editorials consistently garnered national attention from USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, Sports Business Journal and BusinessWeek. He has been interviewed by a number of publications and media outlets, including CNN.

As the former co-founder of Sporting Kid Publishing, he helped start SportingKid, a national consumer magazine for sports-minded families, and SPORTS EDGE, a national trade magazine in the sporting goods industry. Michael also was editor-in-chief of Swimming Pool/Spa Age and Aquatics International, which covered the residential and commercial aquatics industry. In addition, he worked with the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, assisting with the Peach Bowl Coalition, Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games (ACOG) and Forward Atlanta.

Over the years, he has won numerous awards, including the Jesse H. Neal Editorial Achievement Award, recognized as the Pulitzer Prize for business-to-business magazines.

Michael graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Indiana, Pa., with a major in journalism.


Razvan Pataca
Web Management & Development

Razvan Pataca handles Web site management for all Blue Magnet Partners (www.bluemagnetpartners.com) portfolio companies, including On Court Player Development® (www.oncourtonline.com) and Suwanee Sports Academy (www.ssasports.com). As one of the developers of the On Court Player Development® Web site, Razvan's knowledge and experience includes HTML, PHP, JAVA and Flash programming

His work with the Suwanee Sports Academy includes multi-media projects such as the On Court Player Development® Virtual Trainer. He also assists with the development and production of all Academy's marketing, promotional and programing materials, as well as all IT-related tasks.


Greg Weigle
Chief Financial Officer

Greg is responsible for overall financial management of On Court Player Development®, including deal due diligence, and evaluation and organization of administrative areas.

His experience as a financial executive is invaluable to On Court Player Development® as he is intimately involved with developing the short and long-term business goals and managing the overall financial performance of the company.

He is not only a CPA but also an entrepreneur. He co-founded an outsourced financial management solutions company for small and medium sized businesses at a time when very few firms existed that offered such a solution. He recognized the opportunity and went on to provide high-quality, affordable financial strategies and processes within many businesses. He has been on the forefront of outsourced financial management services, as they have become a popular alternative for many small to mid-sized business owners and CEO's.

He has coached basketball at the middle school level of grassroots for approximately 14 years. He was a community coach for the middle school feeder program that fed into one of the more successful high school programs in the state of Georgia. He was also the Director of the program for 3 years and one of the founders of the middle school basketball league for the multiple feeder programs in the area.

Greg attended Northern Illinois University and received degrees in accounting and finance. He has more than 27 years of experience within multiple industries including real estate, construction, hotels, manufacturing, various service industries and non-profits, as well as public accounting and SEC reporting


David Zimroth        
Director, Grassroots Basketball - Florida

Having a keen eye for talent has served David Zimroth         well in both the coaching and recruiting arenas. For more than 25 years, he has coached on the high school, AAU, junior college and Division I levels. Among the players he has coached and recruited over the years, 13 of them were NBA players, including seven first-round draft picks: Dominique Wilkins (Atlanta Hawks), Vern Fleming (Indiana Pacers), George McCloud (Pacers), Doug Edwards (Hawks), Sam Cassell (Houston Rockets), Charlie Ward (New York Knicks) and Bobby Sura (Cleveland Cavaliers). His coaching stops have included three Division I schools: Georgia (1981-82), Florida State (1986-96) and South Florida (1996-2003). He also spent four years at Miami Dade North Junior College, where the program was ranked No. 1 in the country (1983-84). Zimroth also worked as the Florida recruiting manager for Atlanta-based Homebanc Mortgage Corporation (2003-2007). Today, he is re-entering the basketball world to help make an impact at the grassroots level. For the past four years, he has been a college basketball analyst for 1010am radio and ABC Action News/Sports Zone in the Tampa Bay market.


John Spezia        
Grassroots Basketball Advisor - Arizona, Caribbean, Illinois, Indiana

From coach and athletic director for Danville Area Community College (Illinois), to professional head coach of the Derby Storm in England, to several Hall of Fame inductions, there isn't much John Spezia         hasn't done in the way of basketball. In 24 years at Danville, the school's all-time winningest coach won six NJCAA Region 14 titles and made six appearances at the NJCAA Division II National Tournament, including a championship in 1991. That team was even inducted into the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2001. As a coach, he has a 400-352 record. As a mentor, more than 100 of his student-athletes received scholarships to four-year institutions, five are currently head basketball coaches at the collegiate level and over 20 are involved in college athletics. Spezia's accolades are many, including Coach of the Year honors six times, Region 24 Tournament Coach of the Year four times, Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Coach of the Year three times, NJCAA Basketball Coaches Association Coach of the Year twice and NJCAA Division II Coach of the Year twice. He was also selected to the NJCAA Men's Basketball Hall of Fame, Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame, Illinois Basketball Hall of Fame and the Danville College Hall of Fame. He continues to conduct coaching clinics and player camps in the Caribbean, along with shooting camps across the Midwest.


Creighton Burns        
Grassroots Basketball Advisor - Indiana, Michigan

Administrator. Coach. Educator. Leader. Motivater. Educator. The list of Creighton Burns' accomplishments as a player, coach and teacher are as impressive as they are diverse. Known as a builder of fundamentally sound basketball programs, he has posted more than 400 wins as a high school and college coach, 200 while serving as an assistant, and over 600 wins as a player. As a coach, his teams have won 22 invitational and classic tournaments, five conference championships, five sectional finalist appearances, and one each district and NCAA II regional tournaments. His accomplishments have racked up myriad Coach of the Year honors. As a player, Creighton participated in both varsity basketball and baseball at Purdue University, playing professionally with the Minnesota Twins organization. Along with baseball and basketball, he has coached winning sports programs in cross country, golf, football, tennis, and track and field, and has worked as an official in baseball, basketball and football. Creighton also worked as director of athletics at Sue Bennett College and Indiana State University. Over the years, he also taught at a number of summer camps across the country.

 


Neal Ring        
Director, Faith-Based Marketing
Grassroots Basketball Advisor - Wisconsin

Neal Ring         loves the concept of youth sports so much that he is currently working on a doctorate of education in sports management. He also holds a master's degree in sports science coaching. To help in his educational pursuits, he is a volunteer assistant coach for skill development at Union Grove Christian School (Wisconsin), where he works with the boys' and girls' varsity basketball teams on individual and team skills during practice. He also helps out with game coaching. He honed his skills and love of youth sports as an athletic director, physical education teacher, and as a coach of basketball, soccer and volleyball. While working on his doctorate at the United Sports Academy, Ring has been able to gain exposure to all sides of the academic and sports worlds. He served as a Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) Accreditation Reaffirmation Teaching Assistant, where he was involved in all aspects of preparing the accreditation documents. He also helped devel- op the course audit program to track faculty responsiveness to online students and assisted in the development of online instructor training protocols.
